The Bo-Uk-1 FL23885 Blindfluguhr (blind-flight or instrumental flight), made by Junghans, was designed for flights without visibility. It provided all the necessary about time in an airplane,
This clock was very valuable, pilots were instructed to take it and the gunsight before leaving the plane after a crash or emergency landing. During the time it was being built, 5 models were made, changing along the time from brass bezel and knobs, to bakelite. The main diferent was the handsetting lever, pulling the knob in first versions, next hand setting at 3 oclock position, and last hand setting at 5 oclock. The Bo UK 1 has power for 36 hours, 11 jewels, and a 30BZ caliber. |
